PRIME V2 includes materials that were correlated with the retired 2012 Amplification of the WIDA English Language Development Standards

PRIME V2 Español includes materials that were correlated with the WIDA Spanish Language Development Standards, 2013 Edition

EL teachers work with a wide range of needs and in a wide range of environments. For this reason, teachers should consider the information contained in the WIDA PRIME documents to determine how particular materials fit in their program.

English Language Development (ELD) Level 1 by Language Tree Online

Language Tree Online ELD Level 1 is a new digital curriculum for Entering/Beginning level English learners in grades 6-12.  The program is aligned with the latest ELD standards and is composed of five modules that can be used together or standalone.  It includes in-depth assessments and reporting to help ELA/ELD educators pinpoint literacy areas - such as sentence construction - that need additional support.  Based on results from an initial “entry” assessment, teachers can assign appropriate online lessons as well as lead classroom activities (activity sheets included in the program) that target specific literacy skills.  There is also an “exit” assessment to measure growth and improvement after the lessons are completed.  The three lesson modules: (1) Foundational Literacy Skills, (2) Collaborative Listening and Speaking and (3) Language Function and Construction, cover all four domains of language acquisition.  Every lesson includes video input and an interactive exercise output so students can learn and practice. An engaging combination of video, audio, text, and images provide equity of access for all levels of learners. The final component is a unique acculturation support module that presents practical insights into American school life and norms so Newcomer students can feel more comfortable in (and better maneuver around) their new school environment.
