Hands-On English K-1 is an English Language Development program designed for English learners who are at the beginning level of English language proficiency with adaptations for more advanced proficiency levels. Developed on the basis of ELD standards and content standards for ELA, Math, and Science, the program aligns best with the content curriculum in K-1, while in terms of ELD, it is highly suitable for TK-2. The program’s hands-on approach requires students to actively use language in all modalities to communicate ideas, interact with peers, and use language for social and academic purposes.

This is why Florida Reveal Math has a strong focus on rigor-especially the development of conceptual understanding-an emphasis on student mindset, and ongoing formative assessment feedback loops.

Nearpod EL by Nearpod

Nearpod EL is a comprehensive digital classroom solution that combines over 1000 ready to teach supplemental lessons with a flexible instructional platform for teachers to scaffold and differentiate lessons to support language acquisition and content area learning. Nearpod tools include Virtual Reality Field Trips, drawing features, embedded audio support, translation, and more. Teachers can edit any Nearpod lesson using these tools to offer students the proper scaffolds while ensuring lessons are engaging and immersive.

In terms of content, it aligns best with the overall curriculum in K-1, while in terms of ELD, it is highly suitable for TK-2. The program’s hands-on approach requires students to actively use language in all modalities to communicate ideas, interact with peers, and use language for social and academic purposes.

Comprehensive program designed to accelerate language acquisition and reading levels, differentiate for individual learners, and fit the needs of any classroom setting.

McGraw-Hill Maravillas centers on literature in a variety of genres. Genre-based exploration provides students with extra exposure to concepts in the fields of science and social studies. Instruction is arranged following a daily outline, guiding reading, speaking and listening, and writing about the selected text. Throughout, grammar, spelling, and handwriting are targeted and strengthened. Maravillas integrates foundational skill instruction and provides differentiated support for Spanish Language Learners of varied proficiency levels. Teachers can use the Data Dashboard to monitor proficiency and differentiate instruction for struggling readers, and gifted and talented students, and for Spanish Language Learners. Maravillas integrates social emotional learning to help students build the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for success.

Frames for Fluency by Ballard and Tighe

Frames for Fluency is a flexible and easy-to-use tool designed to increase the oral fluency of English learners (EL). Through meaningful and authentic oral practice, English learners will develop the automaticity they need to succeed academically in content area classes. Frames for Fluency is an excellent supplement to any core English language development (ELD) or English as a second language (ESL) curriculum, and is ideal for summer school, after school, intervention and bilingual programs, and other ELD/ESL settings. As a companion to Ballard & Tighe’s Carousel of IDEAS, Fourth Edition, Frames for Fluency provides reinforcement of the vocabulary and language forms and functions taught in the Carousel program. Although this supplemental tool is aligned to the language forms and functions delineated in Carousel, most core programs today center instruction around proficiency levels with similar proficiency level expectations.

Imagine Reading Grades 3-8 is a research-based, supplemental reading program that helps students in grades 3-8 become strong readers, critical thinkers, and confident communicators.
